LOAD TEST ON THE CERAMIC SURFACE STONTECH SLIM/4 PERFORMED BY HIRTL & BAUERNFEIND
(Mauthausen – Austria)
CIRCUMSTANCES
Place: warehouse of Hirtl & Bauernfeind, in the presence of Mr. Hirtl and Mr. Bauernfeind
Support: flat, ceramic floor, without defects
Adhesive used: common glue for ceramic tiles
Installation: buttering floating
Material: Stontech Slim/4 (Floor Gres) collection, Stonbeige/1.0 colour, size 60x60 cm
Laid on: 15th September 2009
Test performed on: 17th September 2009
TEST FEATURES
Different weights in bags of 25 Kg were placed on the trolley in successive order. After every load, the trolley was repeatedly passed over the laid surface, from different angles also performing turning manoeuvres.
(No tests were carried out with loads over 1000 Kg, as it would have been impossible to move the
trolley)
At the end, a few manoeuvres were also carried out using the fork-lift.
TESTS RESULT
No damage to material, no cracks or crazing.
ANALYSIS OF THE APPLIED LAYER
Following the tests, the tiles were removed to check the status of the adhesive and no problems or defects of any kind were detected.
