Mars Athletic Club Sport Center, in Istanbul (Turkey), looks from the most precious corner of Bosphorus to Bebek Bay. Mars is a part of the transformation and restoration project of an old French orphanage.
The open area of the project includes bar, swimming pool, tennis courts and a restaurant, while the sport center is located in 4.500 m2 closed area.
The wide façade of sport center coalesces with the garden and lets the sunlight in. The furniture and materials are selected from recycled materials: this is the case of Ecotech, the porcelain tile used to cover the surfaces of the sport centre. The modest use of these materials and the light reveal the general aura of the place.
