The interiors have kept their original sculptural quality with all inherent aesthetic meanings and functional efficiency and, over time, have acquired greater expressiveness stemming from an awareness of their own modernity while at the same time remaining the heirs of the culture that produced them.
A modern project means precisely this - interpreting the past in the light of the scientific and technological innovations of our time, respecting the aesthetics and symbols of the original location.
The floor of each room contemplates, at centre, a continuous carpet consisting of a composition of ceramic slabs belonging to the Chromtech series in three colours – grey, pink and ivory, installed in diagonal.
The fact that the precious side cabinets could not be removed called for an installation that starts from centre and extends outwards towards the perimeter.
The Floor Gres ceramic product, selected in 15x15 cm and 30x30 cm or 15x30 cm and 30x60 cm size combination, features a surface streaked with variegated tone nuances which give the floor a pictorial and informally narrative character.
The need to create a floor able to last over the years, subject to the continuous stress of transiting visitors, called for special and one-of-a-kind technical features. Hence the choice of Floor Gres porcelain stoneware made by the Florim group.
