|January 28 2010 - FLORIM OBTAINS THE ECOLABEL MARKING for Stontech Slim/4
Floor Gres is happy to announce that it has received the prestigious Ecolabel marking
for its slim porcelain stoneware
collection Stontech Slim/4
Ecolabel (EC Regulation n. 1980/2000) is the European ecological quality marking that certifies the reduced environmental impact of a product during its production cycle. In particular energy consumption, air and water emissions and waste management are analysed. Regarding Florim, it has been determined that the manufacturing of the Slim/4 series (just 4 mm thick) complies with the parameters established on a European level ensuring highly sustainable performance from an ecological point of view. Production is optimised to reduce needing natural gas and electrical energy, the water used is totally recycled thanks to an internal purification system, emissions in the air are extremely reduced and waste is recycled, thus minimising impact on the environment.
Achieving this prestigious goal confirms Florim’s commitment
to continue its policy of eco-sustainable designing
: the Ecolabel marking obtained for the Slim/4 products joins the one earned by the Ecotech
collections (Floor Gres), and the Bureau Veritas certification for recycled material attained by Chromtech/1.0
, Architech and Ecotech (Floor Gres).
The Ecolabel marking thus becomes yet another distinctive element which adds value to products which make innovation their main feature. The Slim/4 collections are particularly indicated to be laid on existing materials, both floors and walls: solutions allowing to operate quickly on the work site, without producing dust or filth and with evident advantages regarding cleaning, disposal of debris and acoustic pollution.
